TOKYO – November 1, 2023 – Preferred Networks, Inc. (PFN) established a new subsidiary Preferred Elements, Inc. (PFE) through a company split today as outlined in the plan announced on September 28, 2023. PFE will focus on development and sales of its multimodal foundation model.

PFE aims to launch commercial services in 2024 based on its large-scale multimodal foundation model that will be able to process text, images, audio, video, spatial information, genome, sensor values and other various forms of data. The new company will also implement the multimodal foundation model in the PFN group’s range of products and services.
