MN-Core
Custom deep learning processor
Overview
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies including large language models, the demand for computational resources is growing at an explosive rate that far exceeds the evolution of supercomputers. Social implementation of computational resources that are low-cost, low-environmental impact will be essential to fill the gap.
Preferred Networks(PFN) has developed the MN-Core™ series of deep learning processors (accelerators) jointly with Kobe University to support the vast amount of computational power required for foundation models and other AI technologies. PFN is also building large-scale computer clusters (supercomputers) powered by the MN-Core series.
